| This proud Wallasey Civic landmark was demolished during 2007 and a new theatre is being built upon the same site to be opened during 2008.
I follow it's progress from Demolition to Opening. UPDATE It is 13th December 2008 and it is the opening day of the 'New' Floral, I hadn't realised this, but went down to New Brighton to get some general shots at sunset. So this album is virtually complete, a little piece of Wallasey's fine history has been completed with the transformation from old to new. My pictures taken from the 26.03.2007 until today 13.12.2008. I must admit I liked the old old building, plenty more character .... Now it is time to photograph the rest of the old civic buildings, not only of Wallasey, but of the whole of Wirral, because our councillors, the ones we pay to run our amenities have decided to close and sell everything they can !! They probably wont be here this time next year .... Birkenhead & Wallasey Libraries as well as a great deal of other buildings.... |
