| Today 17th July 2009 another Merseyside independant bus company bit the dust.
This time it was the turn of Huggin's (Wirral) that gave up operation of buses and coaches after 45 years of service. This day coincided with the end of the school term. As can be seen from these pictures, right up to the last day, the vehicles were all clean and smartly turned out, a credit to the operation which will be a sad loss to the enthusiast fraternity. These shots show the final departures to the schools, I thought it safer to get them here as opposed to photographing them at the schools etc., and got chance to photo the contents of the yard and workshops. Some vehicles had been here a long time like ex Barrow Corporation Talbot E564MAC and I didnt get a pic of the ex Trent (?) Metrorider. Some of the ex Dublin Olypimans have been prepared and some even so recently painted that they hadnt even entered service yet. |
