| Thankyou for posting these lovely photos. I was born at Highfield Maternity Hospital, lived in Grosvenor Road until I emigrated to Australia with my parents in 1960, I was 3 1/2 at the time. I still have an Aunt living on the Wirral. It is amazing to be able to see a place that I still regard as home. I still live in Australia but hope to return for a visit one day. Thankyou once again, Gaye. |

| I am glad that you have liked what I have managed to photograph already .... If there is anything in particular you have heard about and haven't seen, then let me know and I will try to photograph it! |

| These buses helped spell the end for the Crosville depot at Love Lane, as the drivers refused to take buses out that had no power steering. |

Liverpool Airport 75th Birthday Celebration |
|
|
|---|
| I can remember going to school on this one! Did it used to be based at Prince Alfred Road? Some times I would abuse my school pass and just travel around... had to suss the driver out first though cos some where miserable sods! After spending 10 years driving at Chester City, Crosville Runcorn and Halton Transport I soon realised it it wasnt the drivers it was the bloody school kids! |
|
|
|---|
| I thinkit was at Garston... well it must have been when new, but I dont know its subsequent history.
.
Maybe someone else does? ....... |

| Oh how i wish we could still charter one of these beasts! |

| Indeed, I can still hear the sound of them whistling along!!
This was in the display cabinet, I have never seen one before, it seemed to be some kind of badge. I will have to see if I can photograph it better.

|
|
|---|
| It was taken a couple of weeks back.
It was in a sort of preservation .... it has recently been on e-bay, might be on there right now!, but as far as I know, failed to sell. |
